TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Women in Building and Construction

On purchasing tickets to and/or on attending a Women in Building and Construction (WIBC, us, our, we) event, you agree to the following WIBC Events Terms and Conditions (Event Terms):

  • If you are buying tickets for others to the event, you agree it is your responsibility to make sure the others know they are agreeing to the Event Terms;
     

  • WIBC is a welcoming, safe and supportive group for women from all walks of life across our building and construction industry. Therefore, you agree to act appropriately at all times at our WIBC events and towards all others attending our WIBC events. If you do not act appropriately in the opinion of WIBC or its Sponsors, employees, contractors, representatives or agents of WIBC may ask you to leave the event and/or the premises.  f you are asked to leave an event and/or premises you will not be entitled to any refund of your ticket/s cost;
     

  • You agree that you are attending the event at your own risk and that you will not sue or bring any claim, action or legal proceedings against WIBC or the Sponsors, for any loss (financial or otherwise), personal injury or death you may incur from attending;
     

  • You agree that you will not be receiving legal, taxation, financial, employment, information systems, cyber security or any other advice;
     

  • We may have special guest speakers (guest speakers) on particular topics, however WIBC and the Sponsors do not endorse or refer any of the guest speakers, services or products provided or sold by any guest speaker or any related or associated business/entity. If you wish to purchase products or services from any guest speakers or any related or associated business/entity, you should undertake your own inquiries in relation to the guest speaker or any related or associated business/entity and its products and/or services provided;
     

  • WIBC and the Sponsors are not an agent, dealer or promoter of the products and/or services offered by the guest speaker or any related or associated business/entity. WIBC and the Sponsors are not liable for any representations made by or losses caused by the guest speakers or any related or associated business/entity. Any information relayed by any speaker is comment only and should not be taken as legal, taxation, financial, employment, information systems, cyber security or any other advice. Any comments made by the guest speaker are not endorsed by, or reflect the views of WIBC and the Sponsors;
     

  • By attending this event you are granting the Photographer, the Sponsors, WIBC and their successors, agents, assigns and licensees, the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, unrestricted right to use any photographic or video images, including audio, taken of you at the event (the Works). You hereby waive all moral rights (if any) in relation to the Works and consent to any such acts which may otherwise be considered an infringement of your moral rights and release the Photographer, the Sponsors, WIBC and their successors, agents, assigns and licensees, from any infringement of such moral rights. You do not have any interest in the copyright to the Works and you understand that you shall not receive any payment;
     

  • If you provide your contact details to us, you consent to us using those contact details and any other contact details of yours publicly available and published to maintain a professional relationship with you, to provide information that we think may be of interest to you and to market directly to you. You may request not to be sent direct marketing material by notifying us at community@arbuildinglaw.com.au;
     

  • You agree we may modify our Event Terms, and modifications will be updated and published here: https://www.arbuildinglaw.com.au/wibc-event-terms-and-conditions; and
     

  • You agree Aitchison Reid Pty Ltd’s Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Use (published here: https://www.arbuildinglaw.com.au/about-us-aitchison-reid) also apply to WIBC. 

 

For the purposes of these Event Terms:
 

  • You means any person who purchases a ticket and/or attends a WIBC event; and

  • The sponsors are Aitchison Reid Pty Ltd and TradeBox Pty Ltd.
